Panama is a privileged place for whale-watching,as both Northern and Southern Hemisphere Humpback whales come to its waters to reproduce and give birth. The warm waters of this area are ideal for reproduction and the health and general well-being of the calf. Panamá is one of the only places in the world with two whale watching seasons:from June to October, with several thousands of whales coming from Antartic and from December to February with hundreds of whales coming from Alaska. This second season is also the best season to see Whale-sharks that come to feed on the plankton rich waters around Coiba Island. There are besides the most common Humpbacks and whale-sharks,more then 30 species of Whales and Dolphins that can be seen in the waters of Panamá
So take advantage of this seasons when on top of a great snorkeling trip to Coiba you will most probably see whales from your boat,or let us organize a specific trip just to watch whales
Enjoy the show that the whales have waiting for you in the waters of Coiba!!!!
